Salary: £45,000–£50,000 DOE

The Opportunity

An established and growing business operating within the renewable energy sector are looking to recruit two Qualified Electricians.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced electricians looking to join a growing organisation with a strong pipeline of projects across the North West.

Ideally, candidates will already have experience with Solar PV and Battery Storage installations. However, the business is equally interested in fully qualified electricians from other electrical backgrounds who are keen to develop their expertise within renewable energy.

For those without solar and battery qualifications, the company is willing to provide upskilling and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installation work across customer sites throughout the North West.
  • Install, connect and commission electrical systems, including Solar PV and Battery Storage where qualified.
  • Undertake testing, inspection and fault-finding within the scope of qualifications and competency.
  • Ensure all electrical work meets applicable regulations and safety standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical installation issues.
  • Complete relevant installation documentation and job records.
  • Liaise professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle.

Essential Requirements

  • Fully qualified Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications.
  • Strong practical experience in electrical installations.
  • Good understanding of current electrical regulations and safe working practices.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple customer sites.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the North West.

Desirable Experience

  • Solar PV installation experience.
  • Battery Storage installation experience.
  • Relevant solar and battery qualifications.
  • Experience working within residential renewable energy installations.
  • Inspection, testing and commissioning experience.

Solar PV and Battery Storage experience is preferred, not essential.

Salary & Benefits

  • £45,000 starting salary for fully qualified electricians requiring solar/battery upskilling.
  • Up to £50,000 for electricians with the relevant solar and battery qualifications and experience.
  • Company van and fuel card provided.
  • Field-based role, travelling directly from home to customer sites.
  • Projects predominantly across the North West, generally within approximately 100 miles of home.
  • No overnight stays currently required.
  • Opportunity to develop specialist renewable energy skills.
