Full job description

We are recruiting for our client Self-Employed EV Charger Domestic Electricians

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electric vehicle (EV) charging stations within residential settings, throughout Scotland.

Duties

  • Install, wire, and commission residential EV charging units in accordance with electrical codes and safety standards
  • Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement and electrical requirements for EV chargers

Required Qualifications as per the Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) Qualification

  • Fully Qualified Electrician
  • Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations: BS 7671
  • Level 3 Award 2921-34 in the Installation and Commissioning of Electric Vehicle

Required Experience

  • Previous experience installing PVC trunking
  • Working with and terminating Twin & Earth cable and 6mm 3-core Hi-tuff
  • Installation and termination of SWA up to and including 6mm 3-core
  • Previous experience installing Henley/Lucy blocks to split single phase 100A mains supply
  • Simple cable containment installation (steel tray and trunking)
  • Solar PV experience desirable
