Electrician – Renewable & Energy Efficiency Installations (Scotland)

Location: Scotland (Nationwide Travel Required)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Basic+ Weekly Bonus. Company Vehicle+ Fuel Card+ Pension

Join Our Growing Team

We are looking for experienced, motivated Electricians to join our expanding team, delivering renewable energy and energy efficiency projects across Scotland as part of a major national framework.

Regular work and long-term security

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of domestic retrofit and decarbonisation projects, helping to improve homes while contributing to Scotland's net zero ambitions.

The role involves travelling only within Scotland, supporting installation and commissioning of a range of renewable and energy-efficient technologies. Usually working within occupied domestic properties.

The Role

You'll be experienced with:

  • Installation of electric heating systems.
  • Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) electrical wiring and final connections.
  • Solar PV and battery storage installations.
  • Domestic Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) systems.
  • Consumer unit upgrades and electrical alterations.
  • Testing, inspection and certification of completed works.
  • Fault finding and commissioning.
  • Working to current BS7671 Wiring Regulations and industry standards.
  • Completing all required certification and digital job records.
  • Providing excellent customer service while working in occupied homes.
  • Working safely and maintaining high-quality workmanship at all times.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should hold:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (Scottish equivalent) or recognised apprenticeship.
  • ECS Gold Card.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience in domestic electrical installations.
  • Experience testing and certifying electrical installations.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations.
