Role Brief:

We are seeking experienced and dedicated Overnight General Practitioners (GPs) to join our remote healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality virtual consultations to patients across the UK, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction. Please note that this role requires a minimum commitment of 4 sessions per week.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Consultations:

  • Provide remote consultations via video, phone, or secure messaging platforms.
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat a range of medical conditions within the scope of primary care.
  • Prescribe medications and provide appropriate health advice.
  • Deliver preventative health services, including health screenings and lifestyle advice.

Collaboration & Referrals:

  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and services, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Refer patients for specialist investigations or secondary care when clinically indicated.
  • Work collaboratively with third-party healthcare providers to maintain service consistency.

Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to GMC guidelines and clinical governance standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits and clinical reviews.

Patient Advocacy:

  • Promote patient-centred care by actively involving patients in decision-making.
  • Support patients in navigating healthcare systems and accessing appropriate services.

Training & Development:

  • Participate in regular training sessions, CPD activities, and peer reviews.
  • Stay updated on advancements in telemedicine and digital healthcare.

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a valid license to practice.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in general practice.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in primary care.
  • Experience or interest in digital healthcare/telemedicine is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required

Desirable:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a high volume of patient interactions.
  • Familiarity with remote healthcare systems and their integration into patient pathways.
  • Commitment to delivering equitable, high-quality care in a virtual setting.
