Job Role: Secure Support Worker

Hours: 4 days on and 4 days off. Mix of early and late shifts. Minimum 8 hour shifts.

Additional hours/overtime available but not guaranteed

Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour (£16.00 per hour at weekends)

Rising to £15.68 per hour after 6 months (£16.68 per hour at weekends)

Location: Hellingly, East Sussex

Description:

As a Secure Support Worker, no two days will be the same. Your duties will include supporting young people, 1 to 1 in secure accommodation, transporting young people to and from appointments and supporting young people being moved into and between secure units.

Working in Secure Accommodation a Secure Support Worker helps provides therapeutic care, supervision, and safety to vulnerable children or adults in specialized, locked facilities. They facilitate daily routines, manage challenging behaviour, and provide emotional support to help residents achieve stability and independence. Key responsibilities include creating a safe environment, safeguarding, and supporting rehabilitation.

During transport your role will be to ensure the young person safely gets into the vehicle and keep them occupied during the transport ensuring a high level of safety and security as well as providing emotional and behavioural support.

· Able to get a clear enhanced DBS (paid for by us)

· Excellent Communicator

· Able to complete written paperwork on computer and by hand

No experience is necessary as full training is provided but applicants with previous experience in secure transport or working with young people will be fast tracked.

Those with a full manual drivers licence will be preferred but non-drivers will be considered if they have previous experience in a similar role.

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 per week
