At Elkes Biscuits, our Process Operatives play an important role in making sure our biscuits are produced safely, efficiently and to the high standards our customers expect.

You’ll be involved throughout the production process – from preparing and monitoring ingredients through to operating machinery and carrying out quality checks. No two shifts are quite the same, and you’ll work alongside a supportive team to keep production running smoothly.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Operating and monitoring biscuit production machinery in line with agreed procedures and safety standards.
• Measuring, mixing and adding ingredients accurately to ensure every batch meets our high-quality standards.
• Monitoring the production process and making adjustments where required.
• Carrying out regular quality checks to ensure our biscuits meet specification.
• Identifying and resolving minor machinery issues, helping to keep production moving and minimise downtime.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety throughout your area.
• Working closely with colleagues, Team Leaders and other departments to achieve production targets.
• Completing production records and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Following all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don't necessarily need previous food manufacturing experience – full training will be provided.

• Can follow procedures and instructions accurately.
• Are reliable, motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Enjoy working as part of a team and communicate well with others.
• Have a positive attitude and are willing to learn new skills.
• Can work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Are comfortable standing for extended periods and carrying out manual handling activities where required.

Available Shift Patterns:

• Option 1: Fixed Weeknight Nights
• Schedule: 4 Nights per week (Monday to Thursday)
• Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Enjoy your weekends completely free.
• Option 2: 3-on, 3-off Days
• Schedule: Rolling 3 days on, 3 days off (includes weekends when they fall on rotation)
• Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Option 3: 3-on, 3-off Nights
• Schedule: Rolling 3 nights on, 3 nights off (includes weekends when they fall on rotation)
• Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour shifts)

Pay: £13.01-£13.90 per hour

• Uttoxeter ST14 7BT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
