About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential to the smooth running of our practice, ensuring patients receive a warm welcome and efficient service. If you’re organised, tech-savvy, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients with professionalism and compassion, supporting check-in and registration.
  • Manage appointment bookings, confirmations, and cancellations using EMIS Web.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient queries with clarity and care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Process patient and insurance information with attention to detail.
  • Work closely with clinical staff to support patient flow and coordination.
  • Assist with billing queries and payment procedures.
  • Keep the reception area clean, organised, and welcoming.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous office experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident using IT systems, especially EMIS Web (training can be provided).
  • Quick to learn new software and processes.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
