Your Role

As the dedicated Employer Partnerships Consultant to the Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Installation Programme you will provide a pivotal and valued service within the team by supporting Learners to maximise opportunities to learn from industry experts and secure employment within roles related to their programme of learning. You will build and maintain external relationships with industry specific employers and our customers by focusing on matching skillsets and values with local employment opportunities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Be an advocate for Fedcap Learning and the Solar PV Installation Programme, embedding a strong understanding of the benefits of sustainable employment and how this is achieved through a collaborative and entrepreneurial approach between employers, learners and ourselves.
  • Be a champion for renewable technologies and raise the profile of net zero career paths and green energy skills with learners and other internal or external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate full ownership of key employer accounts in course-related sectors through building and maintaining of client relationships.
  • Engage with local businesses and employment initiatives aligned with course learning objectives to develop a portfolio of live vacancies, guaranteed interviews or other inclusive recruitment opportunities
  • Ensuring all course completers are matched with live vacancies, interview opportunities or connected to further learning (especially apprenticeships) as aligned to their employment goals
  • Support learners in developing their skills and confidence in obtaining new sustainable employment, including candidate preparation prior to interview or job start.
  • Proactively seek ways to build on existing relationships and to create ways to engage employers or other external stakeholders with the programme e.g. giving industry inspiration talks, contributing to Curriculum audit and development, giving donations / discounts on equipment for the programme or to propel our learners into employment (PPE, tools etc)
  • Coordinating membership and attendance at the Green Energy Advisory Group (who will support innovation of new programmes, advise on sector developments and create learning networks between large and small businesses invested in addressing the climate crisis.)
  • Organising and leading on programme-oriented Recruitment Open Days, Assessment Centres and ad-hoc events.

Your Skills and Experience

You will need to be a self-starter who can demonstrate previous experience of working in a stand-alone role with proactivity and initiative to make things happen and to achieve tangible outcomes.

  • Ability to embrace our company values which are Kindness, Respect, Integrity, and Innovation!
  • Experience of business development, account management, stakeholder relationship building and sales
  • Experience of working in a customer focused and service delivery environment
  • Knowledge of the local regional and national labour market, ideally within construction and or net zero / renewable energy (green energy) technologies
  • Knowledge of legislative employment regulations including safeguarding
