Are you passionate about changing lives through education? Do you believe that with the right support, every young person can thrive?

Camphill Wakefield is on a mission to build a vibrant and inclusive future for young adults with complex needs. We’re looking for a Maths and English Lead (Tutor) to join our dynamic and growing team.

You’ll be at the heart of a transformative journey – helping to shape a flexible and engaging curriculum in Maths and English that empowers learners to reach their personal and professional goals. Whether it’s paid work, supported living, or apprenticeships, your role will guide our learners toward a positive, independent future.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the design and delivery of high-quality Maths and English curriculum.
  • Create and adapt individual learning plans and engaging resources.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, support staff, and employability teams.
  • Ensure positive learner engagement, progress, and wellbeing.
  • Support the development of a responsive, SEND-informed curriculum aligned with learner interests and local labour market needs.

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • A relevant degree (Level 6) and postgraduate teaching qualification (Level 7).
  • At least 3 years of successful teaching/tutoring experience in SEND or similar settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of OFSTED standards and education policy.
  • Experience working in multi-agency teams and a commitment to inclusive practices.
  • Strong digital, communication, and organisational skills.

Desirable:

  • QTS and/or additional SEND qualifications (e.g., SENCO, assessor/verifier awards).
  • Experience in specialist education settings or curriculum leadership.

What We Offer

  • A supportive and values-driven working environment.
  • Access to a full therapy team and experienced support staff.
  • Structured professional development with regular 1:1s and CPD opportunities.
  • A unique 38-acre learning environment with enterprise projects and vocational pathways.
  • The chance to shape an exciting new chapter in a setting focused on innovation, inclusion, and impact.

Benefits and Perks:

  • Simply Health Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – confidential support for your wellbeing
  • Free on-site parking
  • 2 x paid annual wellness days – prioritise your mental health and work-life balance
  • Company pension scheme
  • Death in service benefit – 3x your annual salary for added peace of mind
  • Discounted meals and refreshments on-site

This is more than a teaching role – it’s a chance to be part of a movement that believes there is no limit to what our young people can achieve.
