Job title: Mobile Enforcement Officer

Salary: Starting rate £12.72 ph

Hours: 40-60 hours per week, more information below

Location: Brighton and surrounding areas

Contract type: Full time

Accountable to: Patrol Supervisor and Sales Director

Responsible for: No direct reports

Key relationships: Patrol officers, patrol supervisor, sales director, office administration staff

Job purpose: One Parking Solution Ltd is a private company that key responsibility is to oversee parking on privately owned land and council owned land. Due to rapid company growth within our company, we have an immediate requirement for Mobile Enforcement Officers to join our busy team. You will be given a list of sites that you will patrol in your allocated area and check vehicles are authorised to be parked on the land. The patrol supervisor will provide a week of training which is fully paid.

Key responsibilities:

· Issue warning or Parking Charge Notices to any vehicle contravening the parking terms and conditions

· Enforce rules in our managed car parks

· Keep the car parks tidy

· Replace signs that are weathered or damaged or inform the office staff if unable to replace

· Act as a car park ambassador on behalf of the company and its clientele

Role requirements:

· Have a full UK manual driving licence for at least 3 years. Please advise us of any penalty points

· Be polite, professional, courteous and approachable

· Show good time-keeping

· Work in reasonable weather conditions

· Good knowledge of smart phones and apps

· Demonstrate good numeracy and literature skills

· Keep calm, stay focused and assertive under pressure

· Be a safe and considerate driver

· Can follow instructions and work within an actively managed environment

What we provide:

· PAYE full-time employment, based on 50 hours per week

This position is on a shift basis, working four or five days out of seven, 40 hours on week 1 and 60 hours on week 2, Monday to Sunday. Shift timings are as follows:

  • week 1 - 5am to 3pm or 12 pm to 10pm
  • week 2 - 5am to 5pm or 10am to 10pm
  • every other weekend off, subject to company workload.

Overtime is available based on company needs.

Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Strong numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping
- Ability to drive and operate a vehicle safely and responsibly
