About the role

We're looking for an ambitious Process Engineer, to play a key role in designing and delivering innovative process plant projects that support some of the UK's most critical environmental services.

This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility studies and concept design through procurement, installation and commissioning—making a genuine impact on projects that matter.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing technical specifications and tender documentation
  • Supporting procurement, contractor selection and supplier management
  • Conducting feasibility studies and process optimisation
  • Providing technical support across operational and development projects
  • Driving continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with engineering standards, environmental legislation and HSEQ requirements

What We're Looking For

You'll be a technically capable engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and delivering practical solutions.

Ideally you'll have:

· Degree qualification in Mechanical, Process or Chemical Engineering (or similar)

· Experience delivering pre-construction phase of engineering projects within industrial process environments

· Knowledge of plant design, process optimisation and contractor management

· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

· A hands-on approach, able to take projects from concept through to completion

· Experience within waste management, chemicals, environmental services, energy, water or other heavy industrial sectors would be highly advantageous.

Why Augean?

At Augean, you'll join a business that delivers specialist environmental solutions where technical expertise makes a real difference.

You'll work on high-value engineering projects, collaborate with experienced technical specialists and can influence the design and delivery of facilities that support a more sustainable future.

If you're looking for a role where you can see your engineering designs become operational assets, we'd love to hear from you.
