Job Summary:

Datalec Precision Installations (DPI) is a leading provider of data centre design, supply, build, and managed services. We are committed to delivering seamless and integrated solutions for data centre operators worldwide. Our team is dedicated to maintaining high standards of service and excellence in every project we undertake.

The ACCS department specialises in the design, manufacturing and installation of aisle containment and caging in data centres. We are seeking a 3D-Modeller and CAD/CAM Engineer to join our team. This role will learn all aspects of engineering and increase product knowledge, Assist the Engineering Manager to complete tasks.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

· Produce CAD drawings according to client specifications.

· Produce production drawings using CAM software.

· Carry out detailed site surveys in data centers, including taking accurate measurements of data halls for cage, CAC and HAC layouts.

· Translate site survey data and measurements into precise CAD drawings and production information.

· Working with a design engineer and individually on the design and development of new products.

· Products and processes - continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process

· Interdepartmental support and communication

· Work independently and provide engineering solutions

· Creating production drawings using CAD software.

· Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company, and group policies and procedures.

· Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties.

Qualifications: Skills and Experience

· Good computer skills

· Good planning skills

· Familiar with Microsoft office

· Strong AutoCAD skills, with the ability to produce accurate 2D layout and fabrication drawings

· Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and/or Radan is a bonus.

· Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

· Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different tasks

· Ability to read engineering drawings

· Formal engineering qualification

· Good understanding of engineering principles
