Full job description

We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled and experienced electrician to join our growing team. We need a driven individual with experience in this field. A versatile and adaptable engineer that works well in any team. You must have a proven track record in this field of work and be prepared to add to your skill set.

Uniform, Tooling and PPE

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
  • Install solar photovoltaics systems including battery storage on domestic and commercial projects
  • Install electrical components on heating systems specifically heat pumps.
  • Install smart/wifi controls
  • Assist with heat pump servicing and breakdowns
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints- Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
  • Assist with site surveys and technical briefings on all solar projects
  • Assist heating engineers with day to day installations (Training provided where necessary)
  • Test electrical systems for safety and efficiency
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines
  • Help grow the solar/electrical department with a view/target to managing this division.
  • Complete electrical certification and commissioning paperwork for installed systems.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in domestic heating controls
  • Experience in heat pump installation/wiring
  • Experience in servicing heat pump systems would be desirable but not essential
  • City and Guilds 2330-07 Level 3 (Electrical installations) or alternative evidence of skill set qualification.
  • City and Guilds 2382-10 (18th Edition I.E.E wiring Regulations or Equivalent)
  • Solar PV installation qualifications would be desirable but not essential.
  • F-GAS qualifications would be massively advantageous
  • Proven experience as an electrician in residential or commercial settings
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems and safety procedures
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina
