Instant Maintenance Services is a growing property maintenance and refurbishment company based in South West London (Brixton/Clapham). We work across Greater London on residential and commercial properties, covering everything from day-to-day reactive maintenance through to full kitchen, bathroom or property refurbishments.

We are looking for two experienced, genuine multi-skilled engineers to join our team on a full-time, self-employed basis. This is not a single-trade role. We need people who can turn their hand to a wide range of tasks and who take pride in delivering quality work directly to our clients.

For this position, we are looking for someone who is comfortable using modern technology and AI tools to occasionally assist with on-site reporting and basic quote support to our office team. Strong trade skills come first - the tech side is a secondary requirement, and support will be provided.

The Role

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, daytime hours
• Day rate: £180-£200 (CIS, self-employed)
• Based across Greater London - you will often travel to multiple sites per day
• Mix of reactive maintenance, planned works and larger refurbishment projects
• Direct client contact - professional attitude and appearance are essential

Skills Required

You must be experienced across most or all of the following:

• Handyman / general maintenance and repairs
• Plumbing
• Minor electrical works
• Painting and decorating
• Carpentry and flooring
• Full refurbishment works including kitchen and bathroom fitting

Requirements

• Genuine multi-skilled background with experience across most or all of the trades listed above
• Experience in property maintenance and/or property refurbishment
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Own tools
• Own van is beneficial - though not essential (van can be provided)
• Professional level of English - written and spoken, you will be client-facing
• Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
• Flexible - able to adapt to different tasks and sites each day
• CIS registered, or willing to register before starting
• Comfortable using a smartphone and willing to use Apps and AI tools for reporting and job notes (e.g. Eworks Manager, ChatGPT or similar) - training will be provided but a willingness to engage with technology is essential
