Job Overview
We are looking for an academic coach to join our growing team. We're looking for people who are experts in teaching Maths, English, and Sciences, who are familiar with both the English curriculum, and are passionate and engaging educators.
We are particularly looking for academic coaches who have experience working with students with Additional Support Needs, such as the following:
- Dyslexia
- ADHD
- ASD
This is a contract position, and we're looking for a coach who can work 4-10 hours a week at this stage, throughout the remainder of the academic year. Onboarding support and professional development are provided.
Our students are located throughout Hertfordshire, with roughly 1/3 looking for online academic coaching. The remainder are supported in-home or in a third location, such as a coffee shop or library.

Duties
- Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with students to assess their academic needs and set achievable goals.
- Develop personalised learning plans that cater to individual student requirements and learning styles.
- Educate students on effective study techniques, time management skills, and organisational strategies.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
- Organise workshops or group sessions on various academic topics as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions and student progress for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Education: A completed undergraduate degree from a reputable institution.
- Experience: Relevant experience in tutoring, teaching, or academic coaching.
- Preferred Backgrounds: Special Education experience is highly desirable. Psychology, counselling, or mental health backgrounds are also advantageous.
Pay: £20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
