Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Publicist to join our team temporarily to run a busy venue press office at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the month in August. It will not be normal office hours as the Fringe is a hugely busy Festival. Accomodation will be provided in Edinburgh.

There will be a part time role in July ahead of the Fringe required too which will be done remotely .

You must be super organised, friendly and have attention to detail. You will be liaising with the media to make sure they have what they need. You will have the backing of an assistant intern who will work along side you. There will be a media launch for shows at the venue that you will co-ordinate.

You will be responsible for managing and enhancing the public image of our clients through strategic communication and media relations. Your role will involve developing and implementing effective publicity campaigns to promote our clients' products, services, or events. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Develop and execute comprehensive publicity campaigns to generate media coverage for clients
- Build and maintain relationships with media professionals, including journalists, reporters, and influencers
- Write press releases, and other communications materials
- Coordinate interviews, press conferences, and media events
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on the effectiveness of publicity efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand representation
- Stay updated on industry trends and news to identify new opportunities for client exposure
- Handle crisis communications and manage any negative publicity situations

- Proven experience as a Publicist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of public relations principles and practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with media professionals
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: £1,000.00-£3,000.00 per month
