We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic General Manager for our brand new cinema that opened in the centre of Burnley in September 2023.


We are a growing cinema circuit embedded in our local communities with a mission to deliver affordable family entertainment and outstanding customer service without compromising the quality of projection, sound or auditoria comfort. REEL Cinemas are supported by an enthusiastic and supportive team at Head Office and in our venues. You'll be responsible for a team including Duty Managers, Front of House Assistants and Housekeepers.

Customer service and cleanliness is our top priority to ensure that our customers have the best possible cinema experience. You will take the lead across a number of areas ranging from concessions and admissions to HR and projection.


Reel Burnley is a new cinema built as part of a complex in the heart of the town.

Part of the new outside leisure development. There's a Nandos, Starbucks and a Heavenly Desserts just next door. A perfect leisure area for all types of families.

Seven screens boasting VIP Seating and a Reel Lounge with luxurious sofa seating.

What does the job involve?

  • Providing leadership across all aspects of the cinema
  • Working to deadlines
  • Dealing with a number of tasks at the same time
  • Driving concession sales
  • Ensuring compliance with company guidelines
  • Communicating targets and objectives
  • Train team members and ensure their development
  • Cash management responsibilities

Required Skills and Experience:

As a Cinema Manager you will need to be a dynamic and hands on person. Previous management experience in a retail, leisure or hospitality environment is essential.

One day you could be programming what films we are going to show and the next you could be dealing with health and safety. As the role is different every day you need to be able to adapt quickly and rise to every challenge.

The successful candidate will need to be flexible and available to work evening shifts, weekends and during all school holiday periods. Usually, you will be on a close shift 2-3 times per week (approx 11pm finish but could be as late as 1am).

Previous retail / food and beverage managerial experience is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
