Join us at the Tree Hut as we roll out our new Engagement Services

Making a meaningful contribution to someone’s life is fulfilling, demanding, requires flexibility, professionalism, and skills. You will be energetic, motivated, and creative, with a genuine drive to provide high-quality leisure activities and entertainments for the individuals we support. Working as part of a small team, you will provide a space with support and events that will enhance their well-being, independence, and social inclusion.

What does the role involve? This list is not intended to be exhaustive

As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in:

  • Ensuring that all our service users have access to the Tree Hut and are encouraged to drop in.
  • Providing strong administrative support to the Department.
  • Assisting the PBS and Engagement practitioner in planning special occasions such as garden parties, fund raising events, days, and nights out etc.
  • Assisting the PBS and Engagement practitioner with green behaviour days, talking mat and 1-1 sessions.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of our newsletter.
  • Filing and general office duties
  • Ensuring the health and safety of people who use our services.
  • Ensuring our Company Policy on confidentiality is adhered to at all times.
  • Continuing development - including participating in staff meetings, ongoing training, and appraisals.
  • Supervise and Support Service User Volunteers
  • Partake in a cleaning rota

What skills do I need?

  • Energetic, motivated, creative, and caring nature
  • Excellent communications skills
  • The desire to make a new venture succeed
  • The ability to manage own time, prioritising and organising work appropriately
  • The ability to work under own initiative, unsupervised
  • Proficient IT and administrative skillset
  • A commitment to and understanding of PBS and Restraint Reduction
  • Training in Health and safety
  • Training in Fire Safety
  • Experience in supporting people with complex needs(preferred)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Experience of/aptitude for planning events
  • Understand confidentiality to keep records safe at all times
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Health & Safety and Risk Assessment policies and practice.
  • Be available to support on occasional evenings to facilitate parties/outside events
  • All Organisational training must be up to date.
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ/RQF
