Full job description

At Cornwall Housing, we’re passionate about delivering homes and services to the communities of Cornwall. Become part of our friendly housing team, working to ensure elderly and vulnerable tenants are supported to live independently in their own homes. We're looking for candidates with a good knowledge of the health and social care sector. Previous experience of supported housing/extra care setting would also be an advantage as well as a good understanding of Social Housing. But your approach is just as important – we need talented people who can work with others and who want to make a difference!

About the role

The role will be based at our Enhanced Support Housing Scheme for Older people based in St Agnes. the role requires day to day running of the scheme, carrying out various health and safety checks and ensuring that the building is safe and secure.
Officers are also responsible for working alongside the onsite care and support team, assisting with tenancy allocations, sign-ups and supporting tenants to manage their tenancies. The role will also see the Scheme Manager offer advice and guidance to residents in regarding to health and social care needs. As well as working with different departments across the company for example, Homes and investments and Rent Management, the Officers also work with other organisations within the Council and the local communities in order to ensure tenants have all the relevant support needed.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • An organised, flexible approach to manage workload
  • A background in Housing Management and or Health and Social Care or Supported living
  • Confidence in working across multiple agencies and organisations
  • Proficiency with IT including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams, and managing databases
  • You'll be a people-person that can look at different ways of doing things to support the best outcomes for clients and tenants
  • This role also requires a full driving licence that enables you to drive in the UK, and an Enhanced DBS check for Adults

Our offer to you

Salary: £26,975 per year pro rata

Working Hours: 29 hours per week (working pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate)

Contract Type: Fixed term contract for 12 months, to provide cover for an internal employee secondment

Base: Your work base will be front facing working from our Scheme based in St Agnes.
