    Crafting holiday organiser with Strong IT skills

    Permanent post 20 hours per week

    Wednesday -Saturday week one and the following week Thursday-Sunday

    Based on site at Gartmore House , Gartmore

    Gartmore house offers a choice of 40 art and craft holidays running almost every week of the year.

    Background

    Guests come from all over the world where they join with a small group and enjoy a holiday learning, dabbling, and improving on one of the art and craft holidays we offer. From beginners to Picasso’s, they enjoy a holiday with like-minded people doing something enjoyable.

    Each week, up to 4 different art and craft holidays are in offer, from patchwork to painting, corsetry to lace making. A guest joins up to 10 others in their class to pursue their own particular interest for the week.

    Guests arrive on a Sunday afternoon and meet their subject tutor, selected for their friendly approach and passion for their art and craft.

    After a full cooked or very healthy breakfast on Monday to Thursday they head to their workshop, they stop for lunch and dinner in our licensed restaurant.

    Every evening all the guests, enjoying one of the four subjects on offer, gather for a varied programme of entertainment.

    The Role

    This role is vital to ensure our guests have a great time at Gartmore house.

    You will ensure the guest has all the necessary information they require before they arrive.

    What is included on the course.

    What they want to achieve

    Their travel arrangements

    Do they want to use the complimentary pick-up service from Stirling Station

    Their dietary requirements

    Their bedroom requirements like bath or walk-in shower?

    And after greeting those you have spoken to previously, you will check in with them throughout the week, making sure everything is running smoothly.

    You will liaise with the tutors

    Letting them know who is joining them

    Understanding how they want their workshop set-up.

    You will let the Gartmore house team know what is happening to ensure when the guests and tutors arrive, it all runs smoothly

    Applicant requirements

    Most importantly you will be a people pleaser!

    You will be passionate about making sure our guests have a brilliant time at Gartmore house.

    But it is only tight admin. that will make sure everything runs smoothly.

    So, if it is for you, you will love making lists.

    You will be good on the laptop.

    We have a great booking engine, and a key part of this role is making sure its constantly updated and running smoothly. It's only as good as the team using it.

    So, you will have to have very strong IT skills preferably to degree level. Comfortable with excel and simple programming.

    It would help if you love making and discovering things, art, craft anything!

    WORK PATTERN

    We alternate shifts over 2 weeks

    Week 1

    Wednesday 09:30 3:00

    Thursday. 09:30-3:00.

    Friday. 08:00-3:00

    Saturday. 09:00-12:00

    Week two

    Thursday 10- 5:30

    Friday 8 - 12:00

    Saturday. 8-12:00.

    Sunday 13:00 -18:30
