About Us
Illuminate Design specialises in making live events work flawlessly. We design, install, operate and maintain lighting, sound and AV systems for entertainment venues, holiday destinations, hotels and theatres. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality results with a friendly, professional approach.

The Role
We’re looking for a Lighting and Sound Engineer who can:

  • Set up, operate and maintain lighting, sound and AV systems.
  • Support installations from planning through testing and client handover.
  • Work on live events to deliver excellent audience experiences.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to understand and meet technical requirements.
  • Complete clear, accurate documentation and handovers.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience with lighting and sound systems in live events, theatre or installations.
  • Confident using industry-standard equipment (lighting consoles, audio mixers, signal distribution).
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently on solo projects.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible, can-do attitude with a focus on delivering high standards.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred).

Desirable (Not Essential):

  • AV systems integration experience.
  • Rigging and safety knowledge.
  • Fault-finding and repair skills.
  • Relevant industry training or qualifications.
