Full job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging Character Performer to bring beloved characters to life at childrens parties and events across Plymouth.

This role involves entertaining audiences, creating memorable experiences, and embodying various characters through performance.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for performing, friendly demeanour and energetic.

This is casual, as-and-when work — perfect alongside another job, studies, performing work, or childcare roles.

Duties

Perform as designated characters during scheduled events, meet-and-greet sessions and parties.

Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience for all.

Confidence in bringing a character/mascot to life in an energetic and safe way.

Collaborate and work with the party host to coordinate performances and ensure a smooth and fun party packed with memories.

Requirements

Previous experience as a mascot/character performer is a bonus..BUT, we are happy to offer training and guidance to those with no experience that have the confidence and outgoing personalities.

Ability to perform physically demanding activities such as dancing and movement routines whilst in costume.

Friendly, approachable personality with a professional attitude

Ability to work flexible hours including weekends on an as and when basis.

The Important Bits (Please Read)

This is NOT a full-time role.

Work is casual / as-and-when bookings are confirmed We cannot guarantee regular hours. Weekend availability is important.

A driving licence with access to your own vehicle would be great but not a massive requirment.

You must be DBS checked currently or happy to have one completed by us. You’ll work on a self-employed basis (contact us to discuss this)
