Deputy Manager (Children’s Residential Care Services)

Rugeley, Staffordshire

Salary between £35,000 - £60,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications.

We currently require an experienced Senior RSW for our 3 bedroom EBD in Rugeley, Staffordshire. This is the perfect opportunity for an ambitious Senior RSW looking to climb the career ladder. We are currently expanding our division to provide services for young people, and this is a very exciting time to join us. The opportunities will be endless. We are continuing to develop, train and mentor our staff team so that we can expand our services for Children and Young People.

Responsibilities

  • Make a positive difference to the lives of children and young people
  • Manage the children’s home in the absence of the manager
  • Provide support and advice to the team and home
  • Personally available on-call
  • Provide supervision and mentoring to staff
  • Work shifts with sleep-ins as well as admin and management shifts
  • ETHICS (Empathy, Trust, Honesty, Integrity, Compassion, Safeguarding)

Skills & Experience (Essential)

  • A commitment to delivering high-quality care
  • Knowledge of EBD and other complex needs/challenging behaviours
  • Hold a current UK Driving Licence
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a position relevant to the residential care of children
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent
