An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Partnership Sales Manager to join our Commercial Partnerships and Media team.

The Partnership Sales Manager will support the Head of Partnerships with the partnerships sales and administration function for NEC Group venues, which the NEC Group operate as well as for external clients in sport, music, events and entertainment.

Commercial properties across the NEC Group include venue partnerships ranging from venue naming rights to official partners/supplier and experiential activations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new partnerships deals through effective outreach and sales strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Work alongside the Head of Partnerships to create and deliver an outreach sales strategy to achieve partnership revenues.
  • Support the partnership sales and administration function for the NEC Group.
  • Proactively approach targeted brands via sales outreach channels (email, LinkedIn, phone).
  • Manage the day to day relationships with any third party sponsorship agencies we work with.
  • Secure and host regular face to face meetings with brands, agencies and business partners to achieve new business sales.
  • Proactively attend regular networking events in order to meet new business prospects.
  • To support the development and delivery of the sales strategies for revenue, profit and market penetration of new business across the NEC Group venues.
  • Conduct regular market research of the parnterships industry and competitor analysis.
  • Keep abreast of where brands are investing in the partnership industry and what marketing objectives brands have.
  • Help identify potential new revenue streams, producing business plans and proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Building collaborative business relationships that further our objective of developing new business.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in sales, desirably from a rights holder, venue, media or sports/entertainment background.
  • Proven track record in successful sales to senior decision makers.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets and targets effectively.
  • Experience of conducting market research and strategically implementating the market research results.
  • The understanding and development of new business development plans.
  • An identifiable knowledge of sports, venue and events sponsorship industries.
  • Experience with producing sales presentations and presenting to senior management and business leaders.
  • Experience in all aspects of customer relationship management maintaining customer confidence.
  • A track record in developing productive working relationships with colleagues, industry peers and clients.
  • Confident and proactive approach to effective sales outreach.
