NHG is offering an exciting position as Placemaking Strategy & Innovation Lead. You'll be joining a new business function ('Places & Estates') tasked with innovating to do things differently, delivering customer-centred outcomes whilst supporting our operational colleagues to excel in their day-to-day work. You'll be part of the Placemaking & New Homes team whose involvement spans the entire new-build project lifecycle, ensuring that our new homes and places are located, designed, finished and maintained with our communities & customers in mind.

Main Responsibilities

The Placemaking Strategy & Innovation Lead role is new to NHG, and you'll be expected to make it your own. Whilst you won't line-manage others, it is a people-focussed role and you'll spend lots of your time collaborating with colleagues, learning what good looks like, and understanding the needs of NHG. You'll need that strong knowledgebase to develop meaningful and engaging operational strategy that clearly sets out our vision and describes how our new places will meet our four pillars of Placemaking:

Ultimately, you will distil the essence of what good looks like and convert it into an accessible, engaging and all-encompassing strategy that will determine the success of our new estates. Your work will directly impact on the lives of Londoners, so this is a real opportunity to make a difference.

Ideal Candidate

We believe great service starts with great people, and we are committed to recruiting and developing passionate, enthusiastic, and talented individuals who can add value to our thriving organisation.

You will be passionate about building spaces and communities to meet our residents' needs. You believe wholeheartedly in the benefits of taking a human-centred approach to your work, and you are comfortable challenging the status quo whilst maintaining positive relationships.

Essential:

  • The ability to communicate in a concise, engaging and accessible manner
  • To be capable of undertaking independent research and using your findings to inform your strategy
  • Experienced in building and managing effective relationships at all levels of seniority

Desirable:

  • Membership to a professional body such as IRPM, RICS, CIH
  • An appreciation of the importance that place branding, digital engagement, community building and effective property management has on the creation of a strong identify for our places.

What's in it for me?

Once you join us, you'll find plenty of opportunities to grow within our organisation. You'll also have access to a wide range of learning opportunities to help you achieve and maximise your potential.

Benefits include:

  • Excellent annual leave allowance and flexible working opportunities (qualifying period may apply)
  • Generous pension scheme
  • Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption pay in addition to statutory entitlements (qualifying period may apply)
