Job Title: Dental Receptionist (Specialist Practice)

We focus on advanced dental treatments, including severe periodontitis management, complex bone grafting, dental implants, conscious sedation, and oral surgery. In addition to these specialised services, our practice also provides general dental care through Denplan, ensuring comprehensive dental support for all patient needs. Job Description:
We are looking for an organised, dependable, and proactive individual to join our friendly and professional team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a warm and approachable manner, and a high level of attention to detail. You will be engaging with a diverse range of patients, primarily English-speaking, and expected to deliver an excellent level of service, reflecting the professional standards of our practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
  • Schedule appointments, manage follow-up care, and maintain patient records efficiently.
  • Handle sensitive patient information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Ensure the reception area is well-organised, welcoming, and reflective of the high standards of the practice.
  • Manage patient payments, including Denplan claims and other financial transactions.
  • Proficient use of office equipment and dental practice management software (EXACT/Software of Excellence).

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly suited to a professional, patient-focused environment.
  • Friendly and professional demeanour with excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and maintain high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in EXACT/Software of Excellence.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Understanding of privacy regulations and confidentiality.
  • Competency with office equipment and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in managing patient payments and Denplan insurance claims.
