A Graduate Geo-Environmental Consulting Engineer is required to join a growing Geo-Environmental company in the North West. Groundtech Consulting has a wide range of clients nationwide comprising developers, engineers, contractors and councils.
In your role as a Graduate Geo-Environmental Consulting Engineer you will be involved in all aspects of land quality and ground engineering on projects to contribute to issuing the final factual and interpretive reports to the clients satisfaction. This is a great opportunity to gain experience on site and in the office.

It is not a requirement for the candidate to already have experience in the industry. However to be considered for this role ideally you will have a degree in a related subject (preferably Geology, Geosciences, Contaminated Land or Engineering Geology).
Comprehensive training is offered to initially build a base of knowledge, then areas of interest can be pursued further.
The engineer should contribute to the required office culture and be able to form sound working relationships with the team and other employees within the office.
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments.
- Supervising Ground Investigations for both environmental and/or geotechnical purposes.
- Logging of soil and bedrock to current standards.
- Management of projects.
- Supporting and co-ordinating a variety of projects.
- Preparing health and safety documentation.
- Scheduling soil and groundwater samples for laboratory testing.
- Gas and groundwater monitoring.
- Factual and Interpretative Geo-environmental reporting.
Personal Criteria:
- Demonstrate internal and external communication skills.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge in problem solving.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Use own initiative.
- Have a responsible attitude to work.
- Hold a full valid UK Drivers license.
- Desire to learn and apply a common-sense approach.
