Assembly Operative – Afternoons | Heanor

Are you looking for a part-time afternoon shift with an early finish every Friday?

We’re recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a well-established manufacturer in Heanor. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed, hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality products.

In this Assembly Operative role you will be tracing around templates and patterns, gluing components and materials together, following instructions and specifications and other assembly tasks as needed. If you have any prior experience within an Assembly Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative this would be beneficial.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 4pm – 10pm
  • Friday: 11:30am – 5pm

Pay Rate:

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Rising to £13.85 per hour after 12 weeks

Duties & Responsibilities of an Assembly Operative:

  • Tracing around templates and patterns accurately
  • Gluing components and materials together
  • Completing intricate assembly tasks
  • Carrying out detailed, precision-based work
  • Following production instructions and specifications
  • Conducting quality checks throughout the assembly process
  • Maintaining a clean and organised workstation

Skills & Experience Required of an Assembly Operative:

  • Previous assembly, production, manufacturing or craft-based experience would be beneficial
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to work accurately on repetitive tasks
  • Reliable and hardworking attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
