With our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams.

About the role

The Product Manager is the operational owner of BD’s Hospital Automation (HA) portfolio within the broader Connected Medication Management (CMM) framework across Northern Europe, supporting Pyxis, Pyxis Pro, PIC, PAS, ROWA platforms, and associated interoperability layers. The role delivers portfolio execution, product lifecycle coordination, launch excellence, digital integration readiness, commercial enablement, and customer success across UK, Ireland, Nordics & Baltics (Northern Europe).

This role reports directly to the Marketing Manager, Hospital Automation Northern Europe, while following the strategic direction set by the Senior Marketing Manager, MMS Northern Europe. Working closely with local commercial teams, EMEA regional product managers, and cross‑functional stakeholders, the Product Manager supports the execution of hospital automation and CMM initiatives across the region.

Main responsibilities will include:

1. Portfolio Knowledge & Strategic CMM Narrative Ownership

  • Act as Northern Europe portfolio expert for Hospital Automation within the Connected Medication Management (CMM) strategy.
  • Own and articulate the CMM value narrative, translating complex concepts into customer‑relevant insights.
  • Enable commercial, clinical, and service teams with clear, consistent portfolio messaging.

2. Portfolio Lifecycle & Communication Coordination

  • Coordinate portfolio lifecycle activities (launches, phase‑ins/outs, transitions) aligned with Global/EMEA strategy.
  • Ensure operational readiness and clear, timely communications across all Northern Europe markets.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and provide insights to support strategic reviews.

3. Strategy Enablement & CMM Narrative Leadership

  • Translate Hospital Automation and CMM strategy into country‑level execution plans across Northern Europe.
  • Lead CMM positioning and campaign execution, aligned with broader Medication Management Solutions.
  • Track execution against KPIs and identify risks or gaps.

4. Market & Competitive Insight

  • Maintain market and competitor intelligence to inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Capture and synthesise voice‑of‑customer insights into actionable recommendations.

5. Go‑To‑Market Execution

  • Lead launch readiness, enablement, and tender support for the Hospital Automation portfolio.
  • Orchestrate omnichannel campaigns aligned to the CMM narrative and compliance requirements.

6. Interoperability & Evidence Facilitation

  • Support and project manage interoperability initiatives and pilot programmes.
  • Develop case studies and evidence playbooks to strengthen strategic narratives.

7. Commercial & Customer Excellence

  • Partner with commercial teams on pipeline, forecasts, and deal support.
  • Champion post‑installation excellence alongside service and customer success teams.

8. Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as key coordination point between Northern Europe, EMEA, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Support annual strategic reviews with market insights, risks, and opportunities.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Informatics, or a related discipline.
  • Experience within hospital automation/pharmacy environment or experience in commercial, marketing, or customer engagement roles.
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret market and customer insights and translate them into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and bring clarity to complex situations.
  • Clear and structured communicator, able to translate technical and clinical information into compelling, customer-focused value propositions.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a matrix organisation, working cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Service, Clinical, Supply Chain, Regulatory/MLR, and Regional Marketing.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM systems), MS Office, and project/program management tools.
  • Strong customer focus, with a collaborative and resilient mindset, and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders across geographies and functions.

Salary range for the role: £38,000 - £48,000 + bonus + benefits
