About The Role

As a Bowling Receptionist, you’ll be the first face our guests see when they walk through the door - setting the tone for a brilliant visit. Your primary focus will be the bowling desk: managing lane bookings, welcoming guests, and keeping things running smoothly. You’ll also have the opportunity to cross-train across other areas of the venue, including the bar, Laser Quest, arcades, and floor operations, giving you a varied role and the chance to build a broad skillset in the leisure and hospitality industry.

Job Title: Bowling Receptionist

Location: Woking Superbowl

Reports To: Centre Manager / Duty Manager

Key Responsibilities

Bowling Desk & Guest Welcome

• Greet guests warmly and check them in for bowling, handling lane bookings, walk-ins, and group enquiries
• Manage the bowling desk efficiently, including lane allocation, timing, and shoe hire
• Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests professionally and with a smile
• Process payments accurately and operate the till and booking systems
• Ensure the reception area and bowling desk are clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times

Cross-Department Support

• Support the bar team during busy periods - serving drinks and assisting with preparation
• Assist with Laser Quest operations, including briefing guests and managing sessions
• Provide floor support across the arcade and general venue areas as required
• Help maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the venue
• Work flexibly across departments to ensure the venue runs smoothly at all times

Team & Safety

• Work as part of a close-knit team to deliver a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for all guests
• Follow all health and safety procedures and report any issues promptly
• Support colleagues across departments during peak times and special events

About You

• Friendly, approachable, and genuinely guest-focused
• Confident communicator with a warm, professional manner
• A reliable team player who’s happy to turn their hand to different tasks
• Flexible with availability - including evenings, weekends, and school holidays
• Previous experience in reception, hospitality, or customer service is a plus - but not essential
• Full training will be provided across all areas of the venue

Pay: £12.21-£12.71 per hour

Work Location: In person
