Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Event Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of events, ensuring they run smoothly and meet client expectations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a vibrant hospitality or corporate environment, delivering memorable experiences for guests and clients alike. Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of event planning from initial concept through to completion, including venue selection, catering arrangements, décor, and entertainment.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored event solutions.
  • Manage budgets effectively, ensuring cost control whilst maximising guest satisfaction.
  • Upsell additional services or products to enhance the event experience and increase revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all elements are executed according to plan.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Handle guest services during events, resolving any issues promptly to maintain high standards of hospitality.
  • Utilise excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and coordinate multiple events concurrently.
  • Maintain detailed organisational records and documentation related to each event.

Experience

  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality or hotel industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in restaurants or fundraising events will be considered advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for liaising effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Previous experience demonstrating excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently is required.
  • Familiarity with upselling techniques and guest service standards will be beneficial in enhancing the overall event experience.
