Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Event Paramedic to provide immediate medical care and support during large-scale events, festivals, and public gatherings. This vital role ensures the safety and well-being of attendees, staff, and performers by delivering prompt, professional emergency medical services. The Event Paramedic will operate in dynamic environments, demonstrating excellent patient care skills, quick decision-making, and effective communication. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact while working in lively event settings.
Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies, providing first aid, life support, and critical care as needed.
- Conduct thorough physical examinations to assess patient conditions accurately.
- Administer medications and injections following established protocols and medical terminology standards.
- Perform patient care procedures such as wound management, vital sign monitoring, and immobilization.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
- Collaborate with event staff, security personnel, and emergency services to coordinate effective responses.
- Drive emergency response vehicles safely to reach incident sites promptly while managing heavy lifting of equipment or patients when necessary.
Skills
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional advanced certifications are a plus.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology enhances patient assessment accuracy.
- Experience in critical care settings or hospital environments is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in triage techniques to prioritize patient treatment efficiently during high-volume events.
- Ability to perform physical examinations confidently and administer medications accurately.
- Excellent driving skills for operating emergency vehicles under various conditions.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting tasks associated with patient transport and equipment handling.
