About the Role

Behind Socials is looking for an experienced, creative and highly organised Freelance Content Creator & Shoot Assistant to support us on client shoots across London.

We're looking for someone who can act as an extra pair of hands on set, taking ownership of shoot coordination while also capturing high quality content for our clients and Behind Socials.

The ideal person is proactive, has a strong creative eye and can confidently take initiative without needing constant direction. You'll be working closely with the founder to ensure shoots run smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot coordination: Manage shoot schedules, timings and itineraries to ensure everything stays on track.
• Shot list management: Take ownership of the shot list, track completed shots and ensure all planned content is captured.
• On set assistance: Coordinate models, outfit changes, props, equipment and locations throughout the shoot.
• Content creation: Capture high quality iPhone photography and video content for clients, with a strong eye for composition, lighting and detail.
• Behind the scenes content: Capture engaging BTS content for Behind Socials to use across our social media platforms.
• Creative support: Assist with content ideas, shot composition and creative direction where needed.
• Preparation and organisation: Support with equipment setup, shoot preparation and organising content files.
• Problem solving: Anticipate what needs to be done, take initiative and help resolve any challenges during shoots.

Who We're Looking For

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in content creation, particularly iPhone photography and videography.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your own content creation work. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
• Confident speaking on camera and appearing in content when required.
• Own an iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro Max
• A good understanding of social media marketing, content strategy and what performs well, particularly within the fashion, beauty and lifestyle industries.
• A strong creative eye, with excellent attention to detail, composition and aesthetics.
• Highly proactive, organised and able to work independently without constant supervision.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Reliable, professional and comfortable working directly with clients and models.
• Based in London and able to travel to different shoot locations.
• Flexible availability, including the ability to accept bookings at relatively short notice.

Desirable

• Previous experience working within a creative agency or assisting on professional content shoots.
• Familiarity with Instagram and TikTok trends, particularly within fashion, beauty and lifestyle.
• Experience working with professional cameras or other content creation equipment.

Working Arrangements

This is a freelance position, with work offered on an ad hoc basis depending on client bookings and project requirements.

Hours will vary, and payment is £20 per hour, with agreed travel expenses covered.

We're ideally looking to build a long term working relationship with someone who can become a trusted part of our shoots as Behind Socials continues to grow.
