Workplace Assessor – Engineering Apprenticeships
Location: Kingston, Surrey
Pay Rate: £35.00–£40.00 per hour
Contract: Minimum 2-month temporary contract
Hours: 36 hours per week

Seven Resourcing is recruiting for an experienced Workplace Assessor to support the delivery of Engineering Apprenticeship Standards in Kingston, Surrey.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified assessor with industry experience in engineering to work closely with apprentices, helping them achieve their qualifications while ensuring assessments are completed in line with apprenticeship standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess apprentices working towards Engineering Apprenticeship Standards.
  • Carry out workplace assessments for apprentices in Fitting, Mechatronics, and Maintenance Engineering disciplines.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support successful completion of their apprenticeship.
  • Review portfolios of evidence and ensure all assessment decisions meet awarding body and apprenticeship requirements.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and complete all assessment documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with employers, training staff, and apprentices to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ensure assessments are delivered in line with current quality assurance and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Workplace Assessor or Apprenticeship Assessor.
  • Occupational competence in engineering, ideally within fitting, mechatronics, or maintenance engineering.
  • Assessor qualification such as CAVA, A1, D32/D33, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Good knowledge of Engineering Apprenticeship Standards and assessment processes.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and meet assessment deadlines.
