Life Couriers UK are looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our growing team at our Luton depot.

We are a healthcare logistics company delivering direct to patients and various healthcare settings across the UK. We have won awards for our delivery success and pride ourselves on operating with our strong care values.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated operations professional to play a key role in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where service quality and reliability truly make a difference.

Working closely with the Depot Manager, you will help lead and coordinate daily transport operations, support and motivate drivers, and drive high standards of delivery performance, compliance, and customer service. This hands-on role offers the chance to make a visible impact while developing your leadership capability within a respected international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support a team of delivery drivers
  • Plan and manage efficient daily routing and delivery schedules
  • Monitor and report on delivery performance KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company policies
  • Oversee vehicle checks, servicing, maintenance and insurance
  • Ensure drivers maintain professional standards including documentation and uniform
  • Support driver training and compliance requirements (DBS, DVLA checks, manual handling)
  • Manage customer service queries and delivery issues
  • Assist with reporting, administration and operational planning
  • Support the Depot Manager and cover leadership responsibilities when required
  • Be flexible to assist across operational areas where required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in transport or logistics
  • Strong knowledge of final mile delivery operations
  • Experience with routing systems and transport management systems
  • Good IT skills including Excel, Word and WMS systems
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
  • Full UK driving licence
  • CPC National qualification is desirable but not essential.
