Job Summary

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Extrusion Operative, where you will be at the forefront of producing high-quality extruded materials used across various industries. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your technical skills, and contribute to the creation of innovative products. As an integral part of our production process, you’ll ensure smooth operations, maintain safety standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives to meet production goals efficiently and effectively.

Duties

  • Set up and operate extrusion machinery, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
  • Monitor machine operation throughout the production process, making adjustments as needed for consistency.
  • Measurement of product using engineering equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections of tooling and equipment, and troubleshooting issues promptly.
  • Handle materials safely using appropriate materials handling techniques and tools.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including logs of machine settings, production quantities, and quality checks.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and tooling for assembly or maintenance tasks.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality assessments.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment to ensure a safe workspace for all team members.
  • Factory experience preferred but not essential.

This role is working the late shift 2.30pm- 12.30am. A shift premium is payable on top of the hourly rate.
