Overview

We are seeking a MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication, with a strong focus on quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic environment, working on diverse projects involving sheet metal and mechanical assembly. Duties

  • Perform MIG welding on various materials, primarily sheet metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications
  • Utilise TIG welding techniques as needed for specialised tasks
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
  • Assist with the assembly of fabricated parts, ensuring proper fit and finish
  • Use basic maths skills to measure and mark materials accurately before welding or assembly
  • Conduct inspections of welds and finished products to maintain quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency
  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times

Experience

  • Proven experience in MIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
  • Knowledge of TIG welding processes is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques
