We Are Gateway is expanding, and we’re looking for experienced welders to join our team at our new manufacturing site on Hedon Road, Salt End.

This is an exciting time to join the business. You’ll become part of a skilled and growing production team, with permanent work, an excellent hourly rate and the opportunity to build a long-term career with an established Hull employer.

The role

As an experienced welder, you will:

  • Produce strong, accurate welds to the required quality standards
  • Fabricate and assemble structural steel components
  • Read and work confidently from engineering drawings
  • Measure, mark out and prepare materials accurately
  • Inspect your completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Use welding equipment, hand tools and fabrication equipment safely
  • Work with the wider production team to achieve manufacturing targets
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area

We want skilled, dependable welders who take genuine pride in their work.

You’ll need:

  • Proven MIG/MAG welding experience
  • Experience within manufacturing, fabrication or structural steelwork
  • The ability to produce consistent welds to a high standard
  • Confidence working from engineering drawings
  • Good measuring and fabrication skills
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Good attendance and reliability
  • A commitment to quality and safe working
