This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of resident wellbeing, recreation and dementia care within a highly regarded care group. With responsibility for leading and evolving Nellsar's Dementia Strategy, you will influence practice across the organisation, ensuring the latest evidence-based approaches, dementia-friendly principles and innovative programmes are embedded throughout our Homes. Working closely with operational teams, Home Managers and senior leaders, you'll drive excellence in resident experience, enabling residents to live meaningful, fulfilling lives while supporting outstanding quality and regulatory outcomes

We're seeking an inspirational and credible leader who combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You'll be passionate about advancing dementia care and have the ability to influence, coach and support teams to embed best practice, drive innovation and deliver exceptional resident experiences across multiple Homes. As a recognised subject matter expert, you'll be comfortable shaping strategy, building capability and championing approaches that enable residents to live meaningful, fulfilling lives. In return, you'll join an organisation that genuinely lives its values and is committed to investing in quality, innovation and continuous improvement

What you'll be doing

  • Leading Nellsar's Resident Experience and Dementia Strategies across our Homes
  • Driving innovation and embedding evidence-based dementia best practice
  • Supporting and developing in home Resident Experience teams to deliver great resident-centred experiences
  • Championing meaningful occupation, wellbeing, life story work and dementia-friendly approaches
  • Leading the ongoing development of the Namaste programme and other wellbeing initiatives
  • Using data, audits and feedback to measure impact and drive continuous improvement
  • Building strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external partners
  • Working collaboratively with operational and support teams to enhance resident outcomes
  • Managing budgets and resources to deliver high-quality services and value for money

What we're looking for

You'll have:

  • Significant experience leading resident experience, wellbeing, activities or dementia services within a health and social care setting
  • Strong knowledge of person-centred care, meaningful occupation, wellbeing principles and dementia best practice
  • Experience developing and implementing dementia, wellbeing or service improvement strategies and initiatives
  • Proven ability to coach, develop and inspire teams to deliver outstanding resident outcomes
  • Experience using quality assurance processes, audits and performance data to drive improvement
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Experience managing budgets and resources effectively
  • A specialist qualification in dementia care, dementia leadership or person-centred care
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Health & Social Care, Wellbeing, Leadership or a related field
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between our Homes

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience leading a dementia strategy across multiple sites
  • A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Experience building relationships with regulators, professional bodies and external partners
  • Experience working across multi-site residential, nursing or dementia care services.

Why join Nellsar?
