Full job description

This position is for a poultry farm worker on a family-run broiler-breeder farm near Ottery St Mary, Devon

Key Responsibilities:

-Caring for and feeding the livestock

-Collecting, grading and packing fertile eggs

-General equipment maintenance

-Biosecurity and welfare

-Additional roles and responsibilities available with on-site and external training

Skills and Qualifications:

-Previous experience not essential, however an interest in agriculture and animals is necessary to ensure the wellbeing of the birds

-Good timekeeping is essential

-Strong communication and adaptability

Hours and pay:

-06:30-15:00 shift pattern, 40-48 hours per week with potential for negotiation based on requirements

-£13.50 per hour starting wage for first month, to be discussed further following successful trial period, based on skills, experience and required training.
