If you’re ready to build a long‑term future in poultry, we want to hear from you. This is your chance to progress within a dynamic and supportive business. You’ll have strong support from senior management and the opportunity to help run the farm.

Our ideal candidate is driven, organised and passionate about bird welfare. You’ll play a key role in ensuring excellent crop performance while maintaining high standards across welfare, safety and compliance.

  • Keep sheds clean, well‑maintained and ready for each new flock
  • Complete simple daily paperwork and keep accurate records
  • Maintain strong hygiene and biosecurity to protect the birds and the site
  • Handle birds humanely and remove any that have died
  • Support and supervise staff and contractors working on the farm
  • Order essential supplies such as feed and fuel
  • Carry out basic farm and equipment maintenance
  • Work closely with your Farm Manager, vets and wider team to maintain strong performance and good welfare
  • Assist nearby farms when needed
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures to keep yourself and others safe

Skills & Personal Qualities

  • Previous experience in poultry farming (broilers preferred)
  • Strong understanding of bird care and welfare
  • Confident in communicating with managers, vets and contractors
  • Good record‑keeping and attention to detail
  • Reliable, proactive and able to take ownership of the site
  • Organised and able to manage busy farm routines

Mandatory Requirements

  • Previous poultry experience
  • Poultry Passport
  • Good understanding of bird welfare and compliance
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Your own reliable transport
  • Legal right to work in the UK

  • NVQ in Poultry Production (If you don’t have this yet, we will enrol you)
  • Tractor, telehandler and/or forklift experience or licence

Benefits

  • Private medical insurance with a leading provider
  • 31 days holiday per year
  • Company pension
  • Health & wellbeing programme
  • Free parking/on‑site parking
  • Full training and ongoing development
