About Wayland Farms:

Wayland Farms Ltd are a pig production company who are passionate about breeding and nurturing the best pigs in the country. We form part of the successful Cranswick Plc., one of the largest food producers in Britain.

We are currently looking for a Stockperson in the Kings Lynn, Swaffham, Fakenham area

Job responsibilities of Pig Stockperson:

  • You will be actively involved with all areas of the pig rearing cycle
  • You will be based on our Breeding Unit
  • On a day to day basis this includes feeding, moving, and handling the pigs
  • You will also maintain the condition and appearance of the farming unit

What you will need:

  • Experience as a Pig Stockperson is essential
  • You must always prioritise and adhere to animal welfare
  • To be self-motivated, flexible and a great team player
  • Our farms consist of teams 3-5 people, therefore you have got to be reliable and demonstrate good time keeping
  • To own transport to reach rural farm location

Pay and benefits:

  • Salary – £26,770 - £31,000 depending on experience.
  • Additional bonus potential of up to £3000 per annum (quarterly payments)
  • The shift pattern is Monday to Friday with alternate weekend work, total of 45 hours per week
  • Pension – 3% employer contributions/5% employee contributions

  • We provide both on and off farm training, increasing your knowledge and experience in all areas of pig farming
