We're looking for a motivated and hardworking Estate Maintenance Operative to join our friendly team. Reporting directly to the Estate Manager, you'll play an important role in maintaining and continually improving the estate across all of our businesses.

No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and likes being involved in a variety of projects.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include both routine maintenance and assisting with ongoing improvement projects across the estate.

  • Weed control
  • General garden maintenance and planting
  • Clearing leaves and garden waste
  • Keeping the accommodation grounds looking their best throughout the year

Wedding Venue

  • Maintaining the venue gardens and surrounding grounds to a high standard
  • Carrying out general maintenance to ensure the venue always looks exceptional for our couples and guests

  • Supporting maintenance works within the wedding accommodation, business park and other estate facilities
  • Carrying out general repairs and practical maintenance tasks as required

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous landscaping, grounds maintenance or estate maintenance experience
  • Is practical and enjoys hands-on work
  • Can work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Takes pride in maintaining high standards
  • Has a positive attitude and is willing to learn
  • A background as a farm worker, landscaper, groundskeeper or general estate maintenance operative would be advantageous
  • Experience operating a digger/excavator would be beneficial, although not essential
  • Telehandler or forklift experience/certification would also be advantageous, but training can be provided for the right candidate
  • Holds a full UK driving licence

Why Join Royle Farm?

At Royle Farm, we genuinely value our team and believe that looking after our staff is just as important as looking after the estate. We invest in our people and are proud to offer a positive working environment where everyone feels part of the journey.

As part of our team you'll benefit from:

  • Salary of £25,000
  • Monday to Friday working 8am to 4pm.
  • 28 days' annual leave (including bank holidays), plus an additional two weeks' paid Christmas shutdown as a company benefit – giving you around 38 days' paid holiday each year
  • Brand new, modern staff facilities including a dedicated staff room
  • Quality tools, equipment and workwear provided
  • Regular team-building events and staff socials
  • The opportunity to work on a varied and continually evolving estate where your work genuinely makes a difference

As an ambitious business, we're continually investing in and improving the estate. This is an opportunity to become part of a close-knit team where you'll have the chance to develop your skills, contribute to exciting projects and help shape the future of Royle Farm.

If you're looking for a varied, rewarding role where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.

To apply, please send your CV and a brief covering letter outlining your experience and why you would be a great fit for the role.
