We’re now looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader to lead our Detailing Team at Farnborough Airport.
If you’re a natural leader, take pride in delivering exceptional standards and enjoy working in a fast-paced, premium aviation environment, this could be your next step.
What you’ll be doing
As Team Leader, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of our Farnborough Detailing Team, ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently and to the high standards our clients expect.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading and coordinating the Farnborough detailing team

- Leading, supporting and mentoring team members on the job
- Carrying out quality checks and final aircraft inspections before sign-off
- Keeping Operations updated on job progress and completion
- Ensuring job documentation and completion reports are accurate
- Communicating professionally with aircraft crew, engineers and other on-site personnel
- Identifying opportunities for additional bookings and services where appropriate
- Supporting on-the-job training and development of team members
- Carrying out probation reviews and providing feedback and guidance to new employees
- Completing Return to Work documentation and supporting absence management within the team
- Ensuring Health & Safety procedures, Risk Assessments and operational requirements are followed
- Reporting any incidents, hazards or near misses promptly
- Keeping company vehicles, equipment, stock areas and vans clean, organised and fully stocked
- Completing weekly stock checks and submitting stock requirements
- Ensuring the team maintains a professional image and wears appropriate PPE at all times
You will also be required to support operations at other locations or assist other teams depending on business requirements.
What we’re looking for
We value attitude and leadership just as much as experience. You’ll thrive here if you are:
- A confident and supportive team leader
- Highly organised and able to manage changing priorities
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
- Proactive and comfortable making decisions on-site
- Calm and professional when working under pressure
- Confident communicating with clients, aircraft crew and engineers
- Comfortable coaching, supporting and developing team members
- Able to work independently while also being part of the wider Operations team
- Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high operational standards
- Flexible and willing to support the wider business when required
Essential requirements
- Previous aircraft detailing, aviation, valeting or similar operational experience
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Right to work in the UK and valid ID/passport
- Ability to meet airport security and background-check requirements
- Comfortable using mobile devices/iPads and cloud-based systems
- Flexibility to work within a 24/7 aviation environment
The role is focused on leading and supporting the team to deliver high-quality aircraft cleaning and detailing services safely and efficiently, while maintaining clear communication with Operations and Management.
Why join Up & Away?
We’re proud of our reputation — and even prouder of our people. As Team Leader at Farnborough, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the exceptional standards our private aviation clients expect while developing your own leadership career.
You’ll benefit from:
- Competitive salary
- Structured training and ongoing support
- 4 on / 4 off shift pattern for work/life balance
- Wisdom HA Wellbeing Programme, including 24/7 access to an online GP
- Discounted gym membership

- Free on-site parking
- Company pension & life insurance
- High-quality uniform and equipment
