United Clothing Group is a leading high street fashion supplier, working with major UK and European retailers across jersey, leisurewear and licensed products. Based in our London office, we are looking for a creative and commercially minded Licensed Fashion Designer to join our growing license team. We work across a large and diverse portfolio of globally recognised licenses, giving our designers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of license properties.

This role would suit a designer with experience across Kidswear, Menswear or Womenswear, with a strong focus on licensed graphics for jersey and leisurewear product. We are looking for someone who understands the UK high street, can translate current fashion and cultural trends into commercial licensed product, and is confident designing for major retail customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing licensed graphics and product across jersey and leisurewear
  • Working across Kidswear, Menswear and/or Womenswear categories
  • Translating current fashion, graphic and cultural trends into commercial licensed ranges
  • Researching/identifying emerging trends and creating trend boards
  • Developing strong, retailer-specific ranges
  • Creating CADs, artwork and detailed design packs
  • Presenting ranges, trends and new concepts internally and directly to buyers
  • Working closely with our design, merchandising and production teams, as well as our licensee and licensor contacts
  • Reacting quickly to buyer requests and new trading opportunities

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience designing licensed fashion product
  • Experience within Kidswear, Menswear and/or Womenswear
  • Strong experience designing graphics for jersey and leisurewear
  • Experience working with UK retailers
  • A strong commercial and trend-driven design eye
  • Excellent Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
  • Strong graphic design, CAD and presentation skills
  • Good understanding of print techniques, embellishment and other garment techniques
  • Confidence presenting ideas and ranges directly to buyers
  • A proactive, organised and collaborative approach

Salary dependent on experience.
