Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and innovative Fashion Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing original clothing designs, collaborating on collections, and translating concepts into compelling visual presentations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence contemporary fashion trends and bring unique ideas to life through various digital and traditional design techniques. The successful applicant will possess a strong eye for detail, colour, and fabric, with the ability to work within brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.

Duties

  • Conceptualise and develop innovative fashion designs aligned with seasonal themes and market trends.
  • Utilise digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Suite to create detailed sketches and visualisations.
  • Prepare technical drawings and specifications using CAD, Maya, SketchUp, or similar software for production purposes.
  • Collaborate with pattern makers and manufacturers to ensure designs are accurately realised in physical form.
  • Maintain an up-to-date portfolio showcasing your work, including photography of finished garments or prototypes.
  • Assist in colour selection, fabric sourcing, and material testing to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Contribute to web design efforts by creating engaging visual content for online platforms using HTML, CSS, and graphic design skills.
  • Participate in photoshoots or fashion shows by providing creative input and styling advice.
  • Stay informed of emerging fashion trends, industry developments, and technological advancements such as 3D modelling or animation tools like Adobe After Effects.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fashion design or related fields; a strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across different styles is essential.
  • Proficiency in digital design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Maya, SketchUp, CAD programmes, and Sketch.
  • Knowledge of web design fundamentals such as HTML and CSS is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in graphic design and photography to produce compelling visual content.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) is required.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Creative flair combined with technical expertise in pattern making and fabric selection is highly desirable.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
