Streetwear Designer / Product Developer

Location: London (Office Based)
Employment Type: Full-Time Monday- Friday

About the Role

We are looking for a highly creative and commercially aware Streetwear Designer to join our small London-based team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across the full product lifecycle, from initial concept and CAD development through to fitting, factory communication, and final production.

This role is suited to someone highly organised and committed with a deep understanding of contemporary streetwear culture, garment construction, and premium casualwear trends, with the ability to translate creative direction into commercially successful products.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Creative Development

  • Research and identify emerging streetwear, fashion, lifestyle, and cultural trends.
  • Develop seasonal concepts, mood boards, colour palettes, graphics, silhouettes, and fabric direction.
  • Design mens and womens streetwear collections across categories and all fabric types including jersey, outerwear, denim, knitwear, headwear, and accessories.
  • Produce detailed CAD drawings, technical sketches, and artwork packs for development and production.
  • Work closely with senior management, buyers and creative teams to ensure collections align with brand identity and commercial goals.

Product Development

  • Manage the product development process from concept through to final production.
  • Create and maintain detailed tech packs including measurements, construction details, trims, labelling, and packaging requirements.
  • Source and develop fabrics, trims, washes, embellishments, and garment finishes.
  • Review, amend and approve prototypes, salesman samples, and production samples.

Sizing, Fit & Pattern Development

  • Lead fit sessions and provide clear technical feedback to factories.
  • Develop size specs and grading to ensure consistency across all product categories.
  • Work closely with pattern cutters and factories to refine garment fit, proportions, and construction.
  • Ensure products meet both design intent and commercial fit standards.

Factory & Supplier Liaison

  • Communicate directly with overseas factories (mainly in Asia) throughout the sampling and production process.
  • Resolve technical and production issues efficiently while maintaining quality standards and deadlines.
  • Build strong relationships with buyers, agents, suppliers, manufacturers, and sourcing partners.
  • Review production timelines and ensure critical path deadlines are met.

Quality & Technical Oversight

  • Monitor garment quality, construction standards, and production consistency.
  • Review lab dips, strike-offs, fabric submissions, and trim approvals.
  • Ensure all products meet brand quality standards and compliance requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in fashion design/product development within streetwear, or contemporary premium casualwear.
  • Strong understanding of garment construction, fitting, grading, and pattern development and graphic design.
  • Excellent CAD and Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator and Photoshop essential).
  • Experience creating detailed tech packs and managing sample development.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, washes, trims, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience liaising directly with overseas factories and suppliers.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail.
  • Passion for streetwear culture, fashion trends, and contemporary lifestyle brands.
  • Highly organised

Desirable

  • Knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Zedonk.
  • Ability to travel internationally for factory visits and sourcing trips where required.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work within a growing and ambitious fashion brand.
  • Creative and collaborative London office environment.
  • Career progression opportunities within a fast-moving business.
  • Exposure across all aspects of design, development, and production.
