Seasonal Kitchen Assistant/Pot washer

Full time opportunity: 5 or 6 days 35-45 hours per week

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team in a bustling Pub Restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will primarily be washing pots. They may also be required to assist with food preparation and supporting the culinary team where needed in delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.

Minimum Contract length 10 weeks

Maximum Contract length 20 weeks

Responsibilities:

- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment

- Assist the chefs and cooks in their work preparing ingredients for cooking

- Help with basic kitchen tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing salads

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area

- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

- Support the kitchen staff during busy periods

Requirements:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment is essential

- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced hospitality setting

- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude

- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff

-Must have food safety Level 2 (or undertake the training on joining the team)

- Must be available weekends

- Must be available for evenings when required

- Must have own transport due to our location (nearest bus stop 1 mile)

Starting rate for over 21 years £12.71 per hour

Starting rate for 18-21 years £10.85 per hour

Pay will be based on experience, qualifications and performance during probationary period.
