About the Role

Southwest Sandwich Company are the leading supplier of sandwiches and food-to-go products across the Southwest. Founded in 1991, we relaunched with fresh energy and ambition in recent years — and we’ve been growing fast ever since!

We’re now looking for reliable, positive, and hardworking Production Operatives to work a shift patterns as below:

Friday 6am to 2pm

Saturday - 2pm to 10pm

Sunday - 2pm to 10pm

You’ll be part of the team responsible for preparing, assembling, and packing sandwiches and other chilled food products to the high standards our customers expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing ingredients, assembling products, and packing items to specification.
  • Working as part of a production line to deliver consistent quality and output.
  • Following instructions from Supervisors to meet daily production targets.
  • Ensuring products meet weight, allergen, food safety, and quality requirements.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and good manufacturing practice (GMP).
  • Completing basic production records such as waste, batch codes, and traceability.
  • Keeping your work area organised and safe at all times.
  • Supporting new team members as we grow and expand the operation.
  • Taking part in continuous improvement initiatives to help make the site even better.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in food manufacturing, kitchen work or factory work is helpful, but not essential — full training is provided.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Good attention to detail, especially around food safety and allergens.
  • Someone who works well in a team and communicates clearly.
  • Able to work at pace while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working in a chilled factory environment.
