We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance/ DMC Support Operative to provide flexible, seasonal support across the Grounds Maintenance (March to October) and DMC (October to March) services, delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service across all Delta properties and partnership agreements. Ensure land, communal areas and individual homes are maintained to a high standard, meeting agreed timescales, budgets and performance targets. Adopt a flexible approach to undertake a wide range of tasks across service areas, enabling the efficient, right-first-time delivery of a cost-effective service.
What you'll be doing
Deliver high-quality grounds maintenance services, including grass cutting, hedge trimming, weed control, litter picking, planting and minor tree works.
Undertake mould treatments and washing using appropriate equipment and technology to mitigate damp risks.
Carry out a range of enabling works to support customers in living safely in their homes.
Complete minor repairs and maintenance, including basic plumbing, window and door checks, glazing measurements, insulation, decoration, and fencing/gate repairs.
Operate, record and report in line with health and safety requirements, including manual handling, working at height and asbestos awareness, ensuring risk assessments are followed and unsafe practices reported.
What we are looking for
Full, current manual driving licence.
Ability to undertake general horticultural work such as shrub beds and hedge trimming.
Knowledge of manual handling and health and safety requirements.
Ability to use own initiative to organise work to ensure delivery of efficient service whilst working safely at all times.
Strong communication skills with the ability to be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of customers.
Ability to learn and undertake new skills when required.

37 hours per week - employees may be able to work flexibly by agreement with their line manager, taking account of business need. We operate a hybrid working policy at Delta Housing Ltd.
